2. Personal data we collect

When you register for RetkiRent, we collect:

invitation code
first name and last name
email address
mobile phone number
city
password data, stored in protected form

When you use the service, we may also process:

information you add to your profile;
information included in listings, such as descriptions, images, prices, availability and location information;
bookings, rentals, sales, payments, refunds, service fees and payouts;
messages exchanged between users through the service;
ratings, reviews, feedback, reports and information relating to disputes or suspected misuse;
technical information, such as IP address, browser and device information, log data and activity timestamps.

3. Why we process personal data

We process personal data to:

create and manage user accounts;
enable listings, rentals, sales, bookings and communication between users;
process payments, payouts, refunds and service fees;

maintain, secure and improve the service;

The legal basis for processing is primarily the performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and RetkiRent’s legitimate interest in operating a safe and functional marketplace.

4. Messages and information visible to other users

Messages sent through RetkiRent are stored in the service.

RetkiRent may access messages only when necessary to provide customer support, investigate suspected fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, enforce the Terms of Use, or protect the safety and security of users and the service.

Other users may see information that you choose to make visible in your profile or listings, as well as information necessary to arrange rentals, sales, bookings, returns, payments or other marketplace activities.

5. Payments

Payments and payouts may be processed through Stripe and PayPal.

RetkiRent does not store full payment card details, bank credentials or PayPal login credentials. Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

6. Sharing personal data

We may share personal data only when necessary to operate the service.

This may include sharing information with:

other RetkiRent users, where necessary for rentals, sales, bookings, payments or communication;
payment service providers;
service providers that support the operation, security, communication or maintenance of RetkiRent;
authorities where required by law or necessary to protect the safety, rights or property of RetkiRent, its users or others.

RetkiRent does not sell personal data to third parties.

7. International transfers

Personal data may be processed or stored outside the EU or EEA where necessary for the operation of the service or the use of service providers.
